Data Analysis and Reporting

A major advantage of MFI is the ability to characterize and sort particle populations according to their morphological parameters. This is accomplished using software-based filters which can be applied before or after an analysis.

MFI View System Software includes the capability to create software filters during the Method creation. These filters are applied to the particle population and are reflected in the reports generated when a Method is executed. Note that, regardless of the filter criteria, all morphological parameters are measured and saved in the event other filters and reports are desired post-analysis.

One of the underlying principles of this software is the use of pre-defined Methods. This ensures repeatability but, more importantly, provides a secure audit trail to meet the requirements of US FDA Rule 21 CFR Part 11.

MFI View System Software Methods defines:

  • Run configuration parameters (volumes, times, etc.)
  • Morphological filters
  • Image storage criteria
  • Report format

MFI View Analysis Suite allows users to create, test and refine filters (and combinations of filters) in a user-friendly, dynamic environment using the Filter Manager function.  Filter Manager allows users to view, in real-time, the affect of different filters (and inverse filters).
